The 10th annual Classic Game Fest is on July 29–30, 2017.

Classic Game Fest will be open from 10:00am – 7:00pm on Saturday, July 29th, and from 10:00am – 6:00pm on Sunday, July 30th.

The event will be hosted at the Palmer Events Center near downtown in Austin, Texas.

Please note: When entering the building, the entrance to Classic Game Fest is towards the front of the Palmer Events Center.

Check out the schedule for the latest lineup. Past events have included classic games such as The Legend of Zelda, Contra, MegaMan, NBA Jam, Street Fighter II, King of Fighters 98, Mortal Kombat, Super Smash Bros. 64,Super Mario Kart, and more!

A weekend wristband will give you full access to all games, events, tournaments, and concerts Saturday and Sunday. Wristbands for CGF 2017 will be available to pre-order at a discounted rate. Check back soon for more details. As always, kids under 12 get in FREE both days but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The prices for wristbands are as follows:

Weekend Pass: $30.00

Saturday Only: $25.00

Sunday Only: $15.00

Kids Under 12: FREE Both Days


Tickets will be available on site at the event, but prices will be higher at that time.

Wristbands may be picked up at the Palmer Events Center (just look for the “Wristband Pickup” table in front) on Fri, July 28 from 10am-8pm; Sat, July 29 from 8am-7pm; and Sun, July 30 from 8am-6pm.

We will need your name, email, and/or a photo ID to pick them up!

No. Plan ahead and remember that each ticket must be picked up by the individual listed on the wristband registration. You cannot bring their photo ID to claim their wristband.

Yes, wristbands will be sold at the door, but we cannot guarantee availability during the event – we may sell out! In order to ensure a pass will be available, please pre-order ahead of time

While we try and make activities family-oriented and fun for all ages, some games do contain violent content (e.g., Mortal Kombat). Kids under 12 are welcome to participate with parental approval and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Limited street parking is available near the Palmer Events Center at no cost. Paid parking is available for $8 per day in the parking garage located next to the venue. Entrances can be found on Riverside Drive near South 1st Street and Barton Springs Road between Bouldin and Dawson Streets. Local buses make frequent stops nearby and bicycle parking is available at bike racks located outside the entrances to the parking garage.
