The 10th annual Classic Game Fest is on July 29–30, 2017.

Classic Game Fest will be open on Saturday at 9:00am – 10:00pm for VIP Badge holders, and 10:00am – 10:00pm for Saturday Badge holders.*

It will open again from 10:00am – 5:00pm on Sunday for all Badge holders.

PLEASE NOTE: Hall One (our vendor hall) will be closing at 6:00pm on Saturday, but Hall Two will remain open until 10:00pm.

The event will be hosted at the Palmer Events Center near downtown in Austin, Texas.

Please note: Enter the building from the Barton Springs Rd side.

There are 3 badge types for purchase: A VIP badge, which grants you access to the convention early and can be used all weekend, a Saturday badge, and a Sunday badge. All badges will give you full access to all games, events, tournaments, and concerts. As always, kids under 12 get in FREE both days but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The prices for wristbands are as follows:

Weekend Pass: $30.00

Saturday Only: $25.00

Sunday Only: $15.00

Kids Under 12: FREE Both Days


Badges will be available on site at the event, but prices will be higher at that time.

Badges may be picked up at the Palmer Events Center (just look for the “Badge Pickup” table in front) on Fri, July 28 from 3pm-8pm; Sat, July 29 from 8am-10pm; and Sun, July 30 from 9am-5pm.

You will need your name, email, and/or a photo ID to pick them up!

No. Plan ahead and remember that each badge must be picked up by the individual listed on the wristband registration. You cannot bring their photo ID to claim their wristband.

Yes, badges will be sold at the door, but we cannot guarantee availability during the event – we may sell out! In order to ensure a badge will be available, please pre-order ahead of time.

While we try and make activities family-oriented and fun for all ages, some games do contain violent content (e.g., Mortal Kombat). Kids under 12 are welcome to participate with parental approval and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Limited street parking is available near the Palmer Events Center at no cost. Paid parking is available for $8 per day in the parking garage located next to the venue. Entrances can be found on Riverside Drive near South 1st Street and Barton Springs Road between Bouldin and Dawson Streets. Local buses make frequent stops nearby and bicycle parking is available at bike racks located outside the entrances to the parking garage.
