A Note from Classic Game Fest Organizer, David Kaelin
Attention all CGF fans:
Unfortunately, we are sad to announce that one of our panelists and special guests, author Ernest Cline, will no longer be able to attend Classic Game Fest 2018. Â He was forced to cancel yesterday due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, and we apologize for his absence from CGF. We know many of you, like us, are HUGE fans of his work. When we booked him again last year, neither of us had any idea just how CRAZY 2018 was going to be for him especially with the #ReadyPlayerOne movie coming out in March. Ernest has been an insanely busy man this year, and he has literally traveled the world in the past few months alone promoting the film. Â He is a great friend and supporter of #ClassicGameFest, and he has been a fantastic, engaging and fan-favorite guest for the past 4 years, and we look forward to having him back in the future at any time his schedule permits. Despite our obvious disappointment over this cancellation, we are still well on track for another amazing CGF! Â We still expect the largest crowd at a retro gaming event in Texas with the best variety of vendor booths! We have more game vendors, more arcades, more musical guests, more panels, and more FUN! Â CGF remains committed to continuing our tradition of being the BIGGEST retro gaming event of any kind in Texas, bringing together the largest collection of games, vendors, resellers, and collectors all in celebration of classic gaming. We look forward to seeing all of you this summer at CGF2018 on July 28-29, 2018 at the Palmer Event Center in Austin, TX!
